Sep 8 2017 After 5 weeks in hospital and only able to walk a couple of steps, I was amazed that after 5 weeks in Coastal Lodge my wife could walk with a frame, climb stairs and get washed and dressed with very little help. Coastal Lodge opened after complete refurbishment in mid 2017 and is clean and bright with a pleasant garden, individual rooms with was basin and TV. The staff were helpful and conscientious with an on-site physiotherapist who was responsible for much of her improved mobility. The layout was a contributory factor, with large open living/dining/kitchen area allowing residents to test their ability to look after themselves.
