Yesterday on 10/10/23 at 4pm I have attended my appointment at John Radcliffe Blue outpatients. I was told my appointment is cancelled. Nobody informed me about it. Receptionist told me sorry doctor is not here. I was waiting months for this appointment with very bad chest and travelled for 2 hours to get to outpatient. I told receptionist how unacceptable it is in stern but polite way and that I am not leaving till my appointment is sorted. Receptionist got this unpleasant nurse supposedly in charge. This nurse started shouting at me for being rude and threatened to call security to remove me from the premises. I felt like criminal when I was the one not being looked after or threated right. This nurse has norespect and later laughed at the reception about how bad b*es rule. All waiting are laughed and I never felt so embarrassed. I have been distressed ever since and I worry about going back to this clinic and seeing this abusive nurses |

On visiting John Radcliff A&E department with a high pulse rate and heart arrhythmia my case was quickly registered by attentive reception staff and I was instructed to join the queue to see the nurse at the front desk. I had only been in the queue a few moments when I was ushered into the treatment room and swiftly wired up to a ECG monitor. Thankfully the arrhythmia was recorded and within minutes I was in a side ward hooked up to a saline drip and a heart monitor. I was attended to by several very kind nurses and very attentive and patient doctors. All procedures were performed in a dedicated and highly professional manner. The nurses could not have been more caring in putting me at ease and attending to my needs. I am sure that the doctor who questioned me extensively and performed the required examinations can look forward to great future ahead in the medical world. The senior doctor in attendance explained the next steps with a clear, concise and caring manner. When my pulse rate eventually returned to normal I was given medication and referred for further treatment at a later date. One of the nurses ensured I had the means to get safely back home. A very big thank you from me to everyone involved, I will be forever grateful to you all. |
