my mother was sent here after a fall and from the minute she arrived all they seem bothered about was sending her home even though her home was unsuitable and my mum couldn't cope. my mum had been at lri and we were told she would go for rehabilitation for at least four weeks but from day one it seemed they weren't bothered.
the occupational therapist was unhelpful and unwilling to help. the staff were rude one walked in one day and told my mum that social services weren't interested in her and as she hadnt any money she couldn't go into a home so she had better get used to the idea of going home. my mum was very upset as you can imagine.
eventually social services did get involved and sorted respite out we were told to pick our mother up at a time plus they would provide a frame yet when we went to fetch her they reckoned they didn't know about it.
I am not impressed with this hospital or the staff. the impression we were given was get them out asap regardless. Original Comment Report...
