Instead of the staff putting their mental health training into practice they choose to instead ignore that and constantly put their patients into seclusion. I feel that this place is not conducive to anyone's recovery. The consultant comes across as very arrogant and chooses to ignore you, disregard your presence and force their own opinions upon you. You have no say in your own treatment. However, I cannot disregard some of the positive experiences I have had with some of the staff. The one's who actually care about their patients and aren't solely there just to get paid. Original Comment Report... |

This review comes from a relatives perspective. From what I can gather, the patient was treated with care, respect and dignity throughout the stay and the structure there was beneficial. The staff appointed to this case were professional, empathic and fully involved us where possible. The only issue I had was that a lot of the time the phone is answered by staff that don't speak very good English, which is very frustrating, so must be very difficult for a patient that's struggling to communicate. Sadly, against the recommendations of nursing staff, psychiatrists and family, the patient was discharged through an independent tribunal with no solid support, medication or care plan in place. Less than a week later he was back in hospital and on a Section 2. This admission to psychiatric intensive care was pointless and nothing was gained.
Bravo tribunal simpletons. Bravo.> Original Comment Report... |
