The staff on Oak ward demonstrated all that is best practice in the NHS. Patients were treated with understanding, gentleness and tender care, my fears about leaving my dad on this ward following an acute episode were without foundation after seeing how well other patients were being treated. I was reassured that he would be treated well and looked after. His planned treatment and aftercare was explained clearly and my fears/ questions addressed professionally .
