May 11 2019 I have visited most of the opticians in Acomb, York and this is by far the best. A thorough eye test with the latest equipment, a great range of specs and some frames with some colour which makes a refreshing change to the boring choice elsewhere! The staff were fantastic, really professional and know their stuff! All of my family now use VisionCare Optometry and I wouldn’t recommend anywhere else!

It has made such big difference to the amount of reading I do now after I got tinted glasses. I really recommend any one who is Dyslexic to at least make an appointment for the Optician to look at them. Tinted lenses will help you or anyone you know that is dyslexic.

Sep 4 2021 I visited Vision care optometry as I was having trouble with my eyes watering and double vision. The optician was only too happy to take my money and offered a consultation fee of £125.00 just to see me. She said she would refer me to the GP and send my consultation notes over and they were never received. I phoned and spoke to somebody and they had the wrong GP on my file. So I told them the correct details and asked them to send over my details to the correct GP. These were never received and my eyes did not get any better. She said the reason they were watering was that I had not cleaned them properly. Subsequently, another year passed and I visited another optician and now I have been referred and just as I thought it is a hooded eye problem. This optician is only too happy to take your money and not sort out the real problem.
