My son was diagnosed with moderate dyslexia in 2010, in addition to earlier issues with clumsiness and sensory processing integration. His dyslexia teacher suggested some of the problems may be related to his vision. He had a number of standard eye tests which found 'nothing wrong'. Our dyslexia teacher recommended we see the optician at this practice, which we did, and it turned out my son had issues with convergence and tracking - none of which was spotted by the 'regular' optometrists. He underwent a year of vision therapy and had special spectacles for close-up work at school for a year. His dyslexia is now gone, he loves reading and from struggling in English he shot up to the top of the class. Sadly, the optician passed away in 2014, shortly before we were due for an annual review. Their brilliant work is continued by a family member. We had to travel over 100 miles there and back every few weeks for progress reviews and therapy sessions (in addition to daily eye exercises at home) but it was the best thing we could have done. I would wholeheartedly recommend this Cheltenham clinic to every parent who feels that their child is not performing at school in line with their ability and who is desperately looking for answers. At Keith Holland & Associates you will find understanding, support, excellent facilities with the most advanced equipment, and expert treatment. |

I’ve recently had another eye test with Dermot and his attention to detail remains second to none, supported by his excellent team of Sid, Tom and Summer. There really is no other optician that I would go to to look after my eye health. |
