    Dominion Road, Bath

Dominion Road is a residential home without nursing in Bath. We provide 24hour care and support for 4 deaf men and women with a wide range of support needs including learning and physical disabilities, autistic spectrum disorder and mental ill health. The age range of the people we currently support is young to middle aged but we are registered to support anyone between 18-65 years of age.

    Whats important to us?

    • Providing a service that is person-centred and focuses on what the people we support want and like
    • Embracing peoples differences and not discriminating
    • Respect and dignity of the people living at the service
    • That opportunities and fulfilment are not limited because people are deaf or have a hearing loss
    • That the people we support have fun at home and in their communities
    • Involving the people we support in the way their home is run

Our main objective is to always follow a person centred approach. People who use our services are at the centre of their care plans, they are encouraged and supported to be involved and have their say about their care and how the service is run. Support plans are created by the people who use our service and their key worker and focus on individual strengths, needs & risks. Goals are focused on real outcomes for the individual and are based on their views, choices, dreams and aspirations.

This is what CQC said about us at our most recent inspection:

We met with three people who used the service. One person told us they were "happy, happy, happy here" and another person told us "I want to stay forever". People said they felt safe and could talk to staff if they had any complaints.

We saw that peoples needs were assessed and care and treatment was planned and delivered in line with their individual care plan. People received a good quality of care and support. People were encouraged to express their views and were involved in their care. People who did not speak to us appeared happy and content.
