Morewood Centre

The Morewood Centre is a registered provider of services to adults aged 18 to 65 years old who have learning disabilities. There are ten bedrooms within the centre and all have en-suite facilities located on 2 floors. We offer a short break service for 5 clients and a 5 bedded life skills service for clients who are being assessed and supported to develop their skills enabling them to live and have access to community facilities, more independently. The Morewood Centre is located in Alfreton Park and has easy access to local facilities: shops, restaurants, a large leisure centre and library.

We work with the client using a person-centred enabling approach to encourage the development of confidence and practical/social skills. We respect a client's values and beliefs and promote cultural preferences.

Each client who uses the Morewood Centre has a person-centred service plan which explains the support the client needs and what we will do to provide that support. The Morewood Centre provides indoor activities and some outdoor activities. There are 2 rooms where clients can seek solitude in a quiet, relaxing environment.
