Sep 15 2018 My relative was placed temporarily at Hill House. My observations during several visits are that the staff work very well together as a team, are constantly cheerful and welcoming to residents and visitors alike. The manager is approachable and available. Priorities are sound - residents are made to feel comfortable and comforted if they show any signs of distress; the staff are alert to residents' moods and needs. The room my relative had was newly decorated and little touches such as a pretty cushion on the chair and some flowers made it seem homely. My relative greatly enjoyed a visit to a nearby zoo, which must have taken a great deal of planning and organising; simple sing-alongs run by the staff, nail-painting sessions etc also ensured regular highlights in residents' lives . I'm grateful to Hill House and the professional, unfailingly kind approach they showed.
