Udal Garth

Udal Garth is a residential service to support the specific needs of people with autistic spectrum conditions to enable each individual to reach their fullest potential within a safe, structured and& stimulating environment.

Individuals are supported by an experienced staff team who have a good understanding and empathy of the needs of people with autism and related conditions who enable their physical, intellectual, emotional and social needs to be met. Each person has a person centred plan which they help design and each plan is specifically designed to reflect his or her personal needs and choices. Each person is assigned a key worker who ensures a holistic approach to their support.

We encourage service users to develop feelings of security and to form relationships with others in the immediate and the extended community. We actively encourage involvement of families in the support of their family member and seek to involve them in discussions concerning the welfare of the person using the service.

Everyone we support is encouraged through their person centred plans to achieve their goals and aspirations. It is our aim to assist each service user in the development of skills that will enable their full participation in the life of the immediate and wider community and live the life they want to.

Udal Garth is situated in the coastal town of Torpoint in Cornwall. It is in a pleasant residential area within a short walk of the town centre shops and amenities. There is a car park for three vehicles and North Road provides unrestricted additional on road parking. A gate from the car park area leads to the manager&s office and entrance porch. Access to the gardens can also be obtained from this entrance.
