Jan 17 2014 IMy Mother has been in Moreland House Care Home for one year now. I live in Devon and I must admit initially I was very unhappy to see my Mum who had been such an independent soul to be in a home. But in all honesty I am so grateful to my brother for finding this place, and I cannot fault it. It is so clean, the food is excellent and the staff are so caring and kind, I don't think I cauld find anywhere better, it is a great relief for me and my family to know Mum is being so well looked after. Incidently I saw a programme on TV the other evening Terry Wogan was the host and in a care home somewhere they we're giving residents a blue light to look at for a certain time and this enabled them to sleep better! it was amazing. That I believe is my Mum's worst problem. she sometimes doesn't sleep at night, then she is trouble through the day. She has always been a very active person and I suppose because she doesn't go out during the day this makes her restless at night. Any way I hope this information has been useful to you.
