The White House Nursing Home

I found the staff caring and friendly, nothing appeared to much trouble. The activities were also excellent, especially the musical shows that were put on, both relatives and residents really enjoyed them. The care that our relative received was excellent, especially in the last few weeks of her life. A big thank you to everyone.

My father has been at the White House for over 2 years. He has had advanced dementia and been bed bound for all that time. Most people would think that amounts to a pretty poor quality of life. Obviously it's not great, especially for someone who used to be very active and outdoorsy, but thanks to the care he receives at the White House he is comfortable and content. The best thing about the White House is the caring atmosphere and the staff. They are always friendly and welcoming no matter what time of the day you visit and they treat my dad with dignity and kindness. Because he is bed bound he is at high risk of skin problems and they have a very detailed care plan in place to reduce these risks and keep him well and comfortable. When my dad moved to the White House he had been in and out of hospital and the prognosis wasn't good. Even though his illness is serious and progressive the fantastic quality of care he has received has meant he seems in better shape now than when he moved in! I would definitely recommend the White House.
