The care we offer > At Norewood Lodge we offer nursing care to older people including those requiring convalescence, palliative care and respite. We specialise in care for residents with Parkinsons and Huntingtons disease and for those who have experienced a brain injury. Day care facilities are also available and the home follows a number of care standards to ensure that all residents receive the highest possible standards of care and support, including the Gold Standards Framework.
Food> Residents can enjoy a tasty, seasonal menu made fresh each day by our chef in one of our two traditional dining rooms, or eat in their own room if they prefer. Balanced, nutritious meals are the order of the day, and theres also a wide range of tasty snacks available throughout the night for those who need them. We cater for all tastes and preferences, and continually check that everyones needs are being met. On their birthday residents receive a meal of their choice and a personalised birthday cake to celebrate
Activities> Alongside residents own hobbies and interests, theres a lively selection of daily activities available at Norewood Lodge, from quizzes and sing-a-longs to pet therapy - all organised by our dedicated activity co-ordinator. Clubs and groups for reading, gardening, painting and cookery are also popular, and we often receive visits from local youth drama and musical groups, as well as a mobile library. |
