Mendip Lodge provides accommodation and 24 hour a day care for persons over the age of 65, including those with dementia. We offer permanent placement, respite – if we have empty rooms when you contact us, as well as day care for up to 3 people, Balancing needs with quality of life the home has been refurbished to a high standard to provide a homely and comfortable environment for 16 residents and their visitors.

Apr 22 2013 All the carers at Mendip Lodge have helped my parents at a very difficult time in their lives. Their situations are very different but you provide exactly the kind of support they each need. The depth of my mothers Dementia meant that we didn't expect any improvement, but for a few months at least she rallied and in small ways became a person again.Now she has become weaker and needs more care, which the staff give instinctively. It is very clear that for the staff a carer means just that, caring which they do cheerfully with both dedication and skill. The care, that staff have shown to my mother has lifted a lot of pressure from my stepfather. He trusts the staff with her care, which is not something he would do lightly. Coming to terms with my mothers slow, sad decline hasn't been easy for him but the support and empathy the staff have shown has made it more bearable. You make us welcome every time we visit and we have got to know both the care staff and the residents. The size of the home and the way it is run makes this possible. We would be very happy to recommend Mendip Lodge to anyone seeking cheerful, friendly, compassionate and professional care. You are all doing a great job. 16th January 2013.
