I am not one for leaving reviews especially for the service you expect or have paid for. My personal view that a comment on exceptional service might be helpful, whether good or bad. I recently had cause to visit the surgery for a minor but persistent condition and as this was morning was asked for a preference for who I should like to see. As I had no preference, fortunately for me one particular doctor was suggested. The appointment was much better than expected, with the doctor showing a genuine interest to find the route cause of this condition with investigative tests. A follow up phone from the doctor included full explanation and details from the tests carried out and what had been checked or eliminated. The course of treatment prescribed seems to have worked and condition no longer persists. I am not sure if this particular doctor is part of the permanent staff at East Hill Surgery but were she to be, that be a coup for patients. Extremely disappointed in this surgery. Over the years the quality of doctors has declined and the abruptness of reception staff has increased.
You have to wait anything up to 4 weeks for an appointment and nobody cares if they see you or not.
The only helpful staff in the whole practice are the nurses who make time for you and are sympathetic to your needs. | ||||||

I have been using this surgey since I moved here in 1996 and always found it to be excellent. I have a number of ongoing health issues and need to see a doctor on a regular basis. The reception staff are lovely and always helpful. The HCA and nurses go out of their way to help and everyone is very pleasant and friendly. The doctors are really thorough and caring and the two partners that I see on a regular basis go above and beyond what I would expect from a GP.
