I was very very dissapointed to have my telephone consultation cancelled!! Phoned this morning early...was told yes you will get a call, four hours later i was sent a txt to say as my medical problem was ongoing, it was not thought urgent enough!!!!! How do they know without talking to me, oh yes they made another appointment for .....three weeks time, really helpful...NO... then told by the surgery when i called , i could use the 111 service or the urgent care centre in Lewes. I know they're short staffed, but that shouldnt be my problem, its theirs to sort out surely.... |

Keep having persistent problems getting my prescriptions , I post into the box it says to allow 3 days now apparently it’s 7days which is ridiculous, I go to the pharmacy to collect and it’s not ready they haven’t received it from the surgery apparently it’s because I requested it to early , I’m a diabetic and have been left with no tablets on more than one occasion I only ask for a prescription when I need it otherwise why would I , I put in a request last tues and today is Thurs 9 days since I requested and it wasn’t ready and pharmacie hadn’t received it I went into the surgery spoke to girl on reception she said it’s in the early pile I am completely out of tablets and she said there was nothing she could do so now i have to wait 7 days with no tablets , why was there nothing she could do why couldn’t she have put it to the doctor as an emergency and get him to action it , I find this surgery unhelpful and uncaring you can never get through on the phone not even put in a queue just a busy tone time after time and I’m fed up with this poor service |

I am writing this review in response to a recent message about criticism of the practice and threats to its staff. I blistered a heel in March and it became seriously infected. My GP, Dr Vasdev, was as always professional ( she always explains what she proposes and why) and prescribed an anti-biotic. It tackled the infection but left a wound that refused to heal. I was referred to Nurse Verrall (I don't use her first name Debby as I believe that nurses deserve the same respect as doctors and I object to this relic of the English class system!). Nurse Verrall is an experienced wound nurse and is worth her weight in gold to the practice. She patiently applied various dressings over a period of 12 weeks finally deciding that I had a circulation problem and extensively and skilfully bandaged the leg for several more weeks. I thought it would never heal as I am 81 years old but this did the trick and the wounds are now fully healed. It was a perfect example of professionalism from doctor and senior nurse - I can even drive my camper van again despite its heavy clutch!! I am very grateful for first class service. |
