The staff are friendly and try to help. Maybe I've struck lucky but in recent times of need, I have been seen pretty promptly. I don't mind which doctor I see...they all seem fine to me. |

Messages are not communicated effectively. Call back is practically non existent. GPs do not follow up when instigating actions. |

Every occasion I have to deal with this surgery in some capacity, I discover yet another reason to try and leave. Writing this review, I genuinely do not know where to start.
Appointments are not the easiest to come by, so you have to play the system and book at 8am on the day they are released. Best of luck getting through on the phones, it took me 96 attempts yesterday morning to speak to someone. May the odds be ever in your favour.
I can say with confidence, the chance of you having continuity of care is slim to none. I've had around 10 appointments in three months, and I've seen 9 doctors. You spend 90% of your appointments trying to summarise events and catch them up. Some of them listen, some don't. Not sure If they use a large amount of locums, or have a huge amount of part time GPs, but it does seem to be a different doctor every time.
Multiple issues with the reception/admin team. Basic enquiries such as if a referral letter has been done, where it has been sent etc or when something will be ready usually results in being put on hold multiple times and then a vague response of "call back in a few days" - never get a straight answer. I'm also supposed to get a text message with my blood test results - I've lost count of how many tests I've had and to date I've received one message.
Prescription ordering is a little hit and miss although does seem to have improved slightly over the last year. Most of the time I get what I order; sometimes things need chasing or challenging. Occasionally I will get a message telling me my request has been declined, but not always. Sometimes it gets rejected and you don't know until you go to collect it.
As someone who has been under investigation for several months and needed regular appointments and referrals, I have found the whole experience distressing, frustrating and exhausting. On more than one occasion I have come away emotional feeling like I've wasted my time. |
