Obviously NHS reviews have a team of checkers that viciously chop anything that gives any clues about the name, sex or ethnic origin of anybody that you say something about, and they can change the meaning of your review with the changes that they make. So I am unable to say who the shining stars here are, but this surgery has a couple.
The greatest shining star here is the one that you encounter when you have a blood test. Personally I detest having any needles stuck in me, but it's far more bearable when you have a lovely person doing the job. We have had plenty of blood tests here, and have never once had any bruising from it, unlike when people at the General Hospital have done it. Definitely a shining star. We've told the person concerned how great we think they are, but it's nice to put it in writing as well.
Another shining star here is one of the people that answers the telephone during the afternoon. Extremely helpful and pleasant to deal with. I expect the censors will chop something from this paragraph, so apologies if it doesn't appear to make any sense after they butcher it.
Don't misunderstand me, no NHS surgery is perfect, simply because the NHS is under such enormous pressure. It can be hard to obtain an appointment, but I see that more as being a problem with the NHS, not necessarily with the people here. Nobody likes being unwell, most people probably don't like having blood tests either, but those shining stars can help to make the experience a little more tolerable. |

The last time i reviewed this surgery I thought it was beyond redemption. However despite rhe dreadful waiting room with its blue plastic seating in rows like a bus terminal and the radio blaring rather than at a subtle volume I have to give credit when it is due. Two new Doctors, are like a breath of fresh air. I can even give credit to the fact the dreadful prescriorion ordering farce seems to have been resolved. The receptionist was helpful and happy which is a bonus. Much more impressed over the last couple of months
