Teignmouth Medical Practice

After making an online repeat prescription i was informed i had to speak to a nurse before this could proceed. The phone appointment offered was nine days later, which as I said to the receptionist was not good enough as I was taking out of date pills. Nine days later and the nurse has not rang even though I was on her list. If staff are over worked take more on as teignmouth continues to grow,unless of course the doctors dont want to pay out more on staff wages and reduce their profits!

I have changed surgeries due to the terrible way this surgery is run. Receptionists gatekeep to extreme levels - on the whole, the GPs were pretty good, with exceptions, of course. A complaint about incorrect notes on my file were 'rectified' by restricting my access to these files, rather than addressing the situation. This is a surgery which clearly has no desire to improve. After all, it's easier to sweep it all under the rug. The two GPs who I found to be really good (they were professional, got you to the point quickly, ensured follow up and were keen to ensure that you were on the right path for you) have since left the surgery. I'm happy for them!
