We can't fault the doctors and nurses who provide superb general health care services and this surgery at Galmpton, although under used by the practice, is particularly good as it has ample on site parking unlike most surgeries in the Bay. However on the downside the management's recent decision (Jan 2018) to stop working with the Patient Participation Group after their 3 years of valuable engagement is very disappointing. We do wonder if the partners are aware of all the work done by the previous group. The management have inherited the email list collated by the previous PPG but it is now managed by surgery staff not patients. With regards to your comments about the Patient Participation Group (PPG), we have not ceased to work with our PPG and we still continue to greatly value the feedback and input they give to the practice. We believe by working together with our PPG we can be mutually supportive, channelling our energies in a productive way for the benefit of all our patients. The chair and vice chair have chosen to step down from their roles on the PPG as they felt it was time for some renewed energy to lead the group forward, but the rest of our PPG of over 80 members still continues, though as you can imagine some are more active than others. We are consulting both our PPG and wider patient population over the next few months whilst we look at options for the future structure of the PPG to determine how the group would like to engage with the practice as there are many different forms a PPG can take and we look forward to sharing those results. | ||||||

Just moved to area. Had to ask for a home visit because my father to unwell to get to surgery. There was no problem in getting a home visit, Dr visited and gave appropriate care. Very impressed by the surgery and would recommend this surgery to everyone. | ||||||

My mother in law is registered at this surgery and does not usually attend often. In recent weeks, she has become unwell and has required a number of tests and investigations to try and establish the cause. The doctors and most nurses were extremely caring and her care has been arranged better than we could have hoped for, including an excellent level of communication between the surgery and the hospital and ourselves. All this over the Christmas period! We are very grateful to the surgery for their help and good quality care - thank you for your hard work. | ||||||
