I always find the staff at this surgery at all levels friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I have moved around the country a lot, and lived abroad for many years in one country fabled for its healthcare, and can honestly say this is the best I have known. |

I recently had a health issue which escalated entailing a fast track referral. Throughout this time support from, obtaining call backs and the ensuing communication with my GP was excellent and couldnt have been bettered in any way. Second to none. Having been a patient with this practice since (and before) it moved to its present site I have found the standard of care here has always been excellent. Some of the reception team are more approachable, helpful and friendlier than others but overall they all do an excellent (difficult) job. I am and will remain forever appreciative to my GP for his concern, care and support past and present but especially during the worrying more recent months. |

I have had a series of health complications including Wenckebach heart syndrome, emphysema, and hypothyroidism. 4 years ago I had pneumonia and a collapsed lung & 3 years ago was told I was borderline diabetic. Since moving to Glastonbury 2 1/2 years ago I have twice tried to make a Drs appointment at this surgery but on each occasion have been booked into see a nurse without the option to see a Dr.On the first occasion I saw a nurse when I had a severe chest infection ( who reluctantly gave me anti-biotics) On this latest occasion I called to see a Dr as I have been having 'about-to-pass-out' episodes ( & thought it might be my heart again - my father dies of a heart attack about my age) and because I have an infection in my toe (diabetes?) Again I saw a nurse - ( I didn't realise this until the end of the appointment). She was helpful but gave me an anti-biotic ( Clarithromycin) for the toe which in the instructions inside the packet says do not use if you have had a history of abnormal heart rhythms etc (Wenckebach syndrome) - so I cannot use them. I have also been booked in for a blood test but despite mentioning the fact that I was borderline diabetic 3 years ago, and saying that I might need to be checked - it does not seem to include fasting blood glucose. I know the NHS is under strain but I wonder what condition I have to have to see a Dr? |
