All very rushed, you don't even get a courtesy smile when you attend you appointment.
It takes a lot for me to go to the dr's and you're confronted with that cold callous welcome, someone looking you up and down, judging....guessing, but not engaging, not knowing the facts, not knowing your conditions, and inferring things.
Reading from the screen in an effort to familiarise herself but missed my serious condition, i wish i could dismiss it myself but its everyday for me.
mission statement for the surgery is to have empathy, well it falls short.
takes 3 days to get a repeat prescription. My gp is semi retired so can never get appt, should just retire as filing in duty of care, thinking of being elsewhere.
the second surgery that is local to me is never open, closed half days etc. No thought for where you live. May aswell close that second surgery, all very half herted and grudged.
i have left written feedbck comments twice in the last 4 months, still waiting for a reply?
Treat with disdain. Does not make you want to go back. |

I've probably had the best GP in my life and cannot praise them highly enough. Unfortunately on the rare time I saw a locum I was prescribed ant-acid for trapped wind, 2 hours later I'm admitted to hospital, on morphine and having my appendix out. Atrocious diagnosis, I'm no doctor but I knew it wasn't trapped wind! Get well soon Paul |
