From the point of arriving at Duke of Gloucester Ward and being shown to my lovely little area (the nurse said welcome) to the point of discharge, I was looked after with love and warmth. I was not in a cabin, I had a window by the bed in Bay 3, but I might as well have had a cabin, in terms of the space I had available to me. All staff at all levels were attentive, caring and efficient, and where there was a slight delay, due to work volume, staff were apologetic. Love the volunteer programme - they cover so many different aspects of the mental well-being of the patient, and you hear stories of I couldn\t wait to get home, but I have to be honest, I didn\t feel like that at all. I\d go as far as to say that I really enjoyed my stay at RNOH, and am due for the second stint of my treatment programme next year which I\m now no longer dreading.
