Most of my appointments are now over the phone. Im not given an approximate time. I wait in all day and a couple of times Ive accidentally missed the call. There is no message to indicate if someone will call back and when and its from a private number so I cant call back, especially if the call comes after 5pm and all the consultants have gone home. Having cancer treatment completely disrupts your life and damages your mental health as it is. Please can you do something to make the telephone appointment system less disruptive and uncertain? |

I resently received treatment for stage 1 womb cancer, from start to finish the care I received was first class, from the reception to the surgery and beyond,6 weeks later I received the excellent news that I am now cancer free and it’s all down to the brilliant surgeon and his caring staff. |

I agree with other reviews about the excessive waiting times for treatment once checked in at Reception. Lack of information is a problem with TVscreens not working or not visible from all waiting areas. Recently a flip chart has been put up saying the usual 2 hour delay, however on my last visit it was blank, resulting in a queue at Reception asking how long? One occasion in Jan 2023 I waited 4.5 hours only to be sent home at 7.20pm. The standard response to these reviews is to contact PALS. I did so and got nowhere. Please improve information on waiting times for patients. |
