My Dad was fine and ready for discharge. He then contracted Covid whilst in the care of Opal House and has now died. Staff were friendly enough, although didn’t appear to know anything about the patients staying with them. Trying to get through on the telephone in the early evening was always met with no reply. If you have a relative staying there you must make your own Covid restrictions as Opal House certainly won’t! Better still don’t let them stay there |

My mum was admitted two weeks ago to A2 thank you for your hard work and care. Mum was transferred to Opal House. The staff work above and beyond! Fantastic ???? Mum's confidence and happiness grew greatly in the short time she was there. It is not a quiet place but you have your own bedroom and toilet. There is a tv lounge. The staff offered to bring the meals to your room if you did not want to go to the lounge. I wanted to say thank you to the staff for their understanding and friendliness they gave to us and the comfort and confidence it gave to our family xx thanks for taking care of our mum xx |

my mother-in-law was a patient at Opal House Wythenshaw Hospital and was treated shamefully, left on her own, no motivation I.e no magazines, no TV. We felt the duty of care by the staff was non- existent. She had four falls, staff didn't seem interested. Her experience at Opal House was very, very poor. Original Comment Report... |
