The Pharmacy needs another dispenser to prepare the prescriptions , its as simple as that . The ladies who work there are put in the position of having to turn people away because the prescriptions are not ready on time . Imagine having to turn away elderly people who struggle to get about at the best of times , because their medication isn't ready . I don't know how to staff put up with it . They get moaned at and many who go in there can be very intolerant , try being in the staffs position . I have been using this pharmacy for my prescription for 10 years , the staff have always said that they need another dispenser , yet with the towns ever increasing population , nothing has happened . You can introduce a myriad of new working practices , but what they need is still another dispenser . I have written to my MP about about this , and if people did the same then maybe the service would improve . Don't moan at the staff serving as its not their fault , aim higher .

As requested I asked my GP practice to contact this branch to request two repeat orders. They did so on Monday morning in front of me. They said I could collect them from Lloyd’s after Wednesday pm. Thursday 9.30 am I check the orders. They haven’t been picked, and when would I like to collect. I said by 12.00, which a chap there said should be ok. At 3.00 pm I turn up and the orders still haven’t been picked. They ask can I wait twenty minutes, as they are short staffed/busy. At 3.45 I finally get my prescriptions. As is consistent with this branch, the lady that served me and got the brunt of my displeasure is the ONLY person there that has any idea of the word busy. There was at no time a queue of customers beating the counter, and I saw at least six or seven staff in there. I understand the pharmaceutical industry and it’s operational procedures and requirements, but bar the one lady that served me the rest were what would be, working so slowly, had they slowed down any more they’d have gone backwards.it is completely beyond excuse that a branch can take so long, and consistently be so behind when there appears ample staff to fulfil the operations required to meet deadlines easily. There are other pharmacies with half the staff serving bugger volumes of customers on time. In light of the consistently poor performance, I would suggest Head Office spend a few days there to find the issues and eradicate them. We try to use local services, and this is the thanks we get. Please get a move on or some folk will die before they get their medicine. ????????
