Ambleside Nursing Home is a well-established operator over 20 years and located at the seaside town of Weston-super-Mare in South west England. We offer 24X7 nursing care to elderly residents and take pride in ensuring their independence and wellbeing are catered for. We offer a range of services including short and long term nursing care, continuity care, respite, safe heaven beds and enablement programme. Ambleside is committed to offering high quality care to all our residents and this is achieved through meeting individual care plan.
All our staff are directly employed by the Home and are highly trained professionals. This way we offer continuity of care, client relationship and accountability. We recognise that training is an integral part of delivering high quality service and to this end, train people in core courses beyond the mandatory requirement.

Mar 27 2019 My wife suffered from vascular dementia, and was sent to a home in May 2018 - which we did not find suitable so we transferred her to Ambleside, which we found to be perfect. They specialised in dementia care; they cared for her, spoke to her, took her out, loved her, and she loved them! She died in August 2018 peacefully and the family were delighted that she spent her last days in a loving, peaceful environment.

You are all such a caring team and I feel so lucky to have chosen Ambleside. Every time mum has been unsettled due to her steps down in her Dementia, you have found a quick solution to the problem and she is very quickly happy and settled again. Mum refers to Ambleside as her home now which I think is a huge compliment to a great team.

The team has worked hard under good direction to establish Ls wants and needs which are very complicated and need much time and effort to achieve. For example, she can only take food through a straw and due to her level of Alzheimers it takes around an hour and a half per meal to feed her. This is before taking time to deal with other essentials such as turning, washing etc. I am very pleased with progress since her arrival at Ambleside. A wonderful atmosphere and a great team.
