Fairburn

Fairburn, in Little Stoke, Bristol, is a seven-bed house offering short breaks (respite). The home is part of the Milestones Trust Short Breaks service and provides person centered and supportive breaks for people with learning disabilities. Guests are supported by a team of nursing and support staff who have experience in supporting people with complex health needs, epilepsy, and autistic spectrum disorder. The quality of care provided enables full time carers to enjoy a break from their role.

While providing support away from home, guests are also supported to maintain the continuity in their everyday lives and continue with daily routines. Fairburn can also support people to learn new skills and move towards independence. Breaks are normally planned in advance though every effort is made to accommodate stays to cover unforeseen/emergency situations.
