Acorn Care Home

My mother has been in this home for quite a while now. It is a small home with 3 rooms and has 3 ladies living there. All in various stages of Dementia/Alzheimers. The residents are treated with such love and respect it is just wonderful. The carers and owner, they have worked there for years. The owner has very strict requirements of staff. The residents come first. The residents go out for walks, there is a park close by. Tea Dances once a month. To the Library with Dial a Ride. Everywhere the residents go they are accompanied with one of the carers. If two residents go to a Tea Dance, Two Carers go too. Its a very warm loving and special home. If I could give it 6 gold stars out of 5 I would. I had looked after my mother for years and was not coping anymore. I visited a lot of places and when I came across this one. My heart filled with joy. My mother has moderate Dementia and as they all are, is extremely vulnerable, like a 3 year old. I am so pleased that I find this home. I can relax knowing my mother is extremely well looked after and treated with love and respect. Thank you to the Staff and Owner of this wonderful place. I wish there were more like you around.
