We offer a high level of residential and dementia care at reasonable prices. Our friendly, caring team support independence and provide personalised care, tasty meals and stimulating activities and entertainment.
Providing great care since the 70's the original home was replaced with a state of the art new home which Angela Rippon OBE opened in July 2012. Purpose designed it nestles in the village centre conservation area and enjoys an unrivalled reputation with care professionals and the local community. We are close to the bus stop, post office, church, shops, pubs, library, doctors surgery and train station. Moat House was last refurbished in 2020.
Great consideration has been given to the design ensuring that the environment is comfortable and cosy with the latest disability equipment and adaptations incorporated. Facilities include; Wi-Fi throughout, a choice of comfy lounges, Café, Flicks - cinema, Quiffs Hair and Beauty salon, Horse and Hounds pub, 1960s Kitchen and Workshop, relaxing landscaped sensory gardens with the historical Moat spinney walk and large bedrooms all with shower en-suite.

Jun 8 2017 Dad moved in 18 months ago after initially popping in for the odd lunch, then returning regularly for the entertainment. I made a quip about "You may as well move in you're there so often" lol So he said Yes I think I will He has settled really well and loves joining in with the daily life of the home. He is the proud introducer of the Moat House choir and they are now in training for a competition for £1000 which they hope to win Can't praise it enough .... if you are thinking about a home go and take a look, you wont regret it

The staff are fantastic and care is wonderful. they can't do enough and he is so happy and safe. He comes to our house on Sundays and everything is always ready for him to leave. Every need taken care of. brilliant!
