There are supposedly apps allowing you to do things like book appointments like 'the nhs app' -- these are only very basic and do not reflect any of the enquiries, prescriptions or bookings you 'try to make'. Now you cannot do anything via phone and the place is run like a high-street store that is about to be closed down running on a shoestring. The pandemic has passed but it seems to have given the place a chance to go further downhill. If they are going to do things online then ensure the apps are functional, and joined-up on patient info. | ||||||

They never answer the phone. You can never get a appointment Why is this place in operation when people who need medical assistance can not get the assistance.. its a joke im better off finding somewhere else to go | ||||||

My experience with the gp at this practice yesterday was exceptionally good. She had all the qualities that I could wish for. From her greeting until when I left she was faultless. Attentive, understanding knowledgable ,empathetic and efficient. She spoke clearly and reassuringly. For many years myself and 2 children, now adults have all attended this practice. We have all had collectively very good care with both the gps and nurses. Unfortunately our only criticisms lie with the booking procedure and the staff on the front desks. It has from as long as I can remember , been a problem getting through only to be then spoken to in a rude bad mannered way. I have never understood why this has been the case. To apply for a job that has a huge amount of social interaction involved, it amazes me as to how they can display such animosity and unempathetic behaviour. I have witnessed whilst in the queue , such cold and uncaring receptionists to many including elderly people. I have found this to be particularly heartbreaking. Shockingly behaving like this to those that are feeling unwell, worried vulnerable and possibly terminally ill. Do they not imagine their own loved ones whilst speaking to others like this? I completely understand that it is a full on and at times stressful job working with the public. I can accept that some patients are a challenge. However I have experienced 1st hand an awful reception despite being polite myself. Sadly and regretfully this has resulted in poor reviews from a lot of people . The gps and nurses have been totally fine at South Lewisham practice. Working long hours and many added responsibilities to their job specs ,they still have provided a good service. If social skills were invested in with the staff on the front line and indeed behind the scenes manning the phones...our local Gp practice would I feel , have undoubtedly top stars. I/ we genuinely hope that things change as we need to have these experts in our community . We do not want to lose the service we have, which could happen if the public leave due to dissatisfaction. Sincerely hope things change for the better. Im grateful for the time and care I was given yesterday hence why I have graded with excellent. My experience with my gp was excellent. I have taken the time to write this review because I care about this service. For the sake of a change in front line attitudes and a more efficient booking service it could be the difference of having this on our doorstep or not. | ||||||
