I have gone down with a Chest Infection, Dr Sara has been fantastic in the past prescribing me an emergency pkt of Amoxicillin which I have just started, so I rang the Surgery to see if she could do the same and also maybe she could speak to me and make sure I was doing the right thing after what happened this time last year when I was extremely ill and because my Sputum Test did not arrive back at the Surgery before the Christmas Break was not given the correct medication The receptionist was most unhelpful telling me to put a request in the Post Box I explained I could not get down there and could she get the Doctor to ring me (I know Dr Sara is going on leave)she said there were no way anyone was available to advise me until the 4th January I asked her if she could put in a request on my behalf as a receptionist has done this in the past all I got was she was not allowed to ask for prescriptions especially antibiotics. I was not rude to her all I said I would leave it. | ||||||

Dr Newson told me I fell over frequenty because I was old . A little time later when I fell heavily on to my back and I was in excruciating pain I phoned for help he told me I had bruised myself, not to worry it would get better it was quite unnecessary for me to come to the surgery. I had routine hospital appointment about a separate matter. The Consutant knew me and was alarmed when he saw I couild hardly walk, more alarmed when he heard that my GP didn't think it necessary to see me and told me he would add a comment in his letter to my GP. His letter produced an urgent request from my GP that I come and see him. He took one look at my obviouis difficulty and pain in walking. Made no examination, asked me no questions and said he was going to refer me to the local general hospita's Geriatric Unit. I went for medical advice elsewhere where I learnt that I kept falling because both my hips were badly worn out and the pain in my back was a fractured Sacrum. Why is this man allowed to practice? | ||||||
