Further to my open heart surgery at Brighton Cardiac Hospital in November 2018.
I had a triple bypass, an aortic root replacement and metal valve fitted - I am so pleased with the service given to me by my wonderful surgeon and his amazing Cardiac Team.
I now have to take Warfarin daily and am looked after by the nurses at the local - Brow Medical Centre in Burgess Hill. The PT/INR Testing at the Brow is super efficient. I am currently monitored weekly & receive texts on my mobile phone to confirm my appointments and am always seen within minutes of my checking in. The process literally takes seconds and I am then given a printed plan of daily dosage for the following week. The system, nurses & reception staff at the Brow are Brilliant!!!
Thankyou all - so much xxx
Kind Regards, Ron |

I feel that the appointment system could be better at the practise. When a patient such as myself needs a doctor to look at something pacific or further investigation, an appointment should be made when asked by the patient. Obviously a condition that is minor which can be dealt with over the phone is quite different.
As a patient we have to wait for a telephone call first before we can see a doctor ( which can be inconvenient depending on where you are at the time.. shopping or at work or maybe at the gym. It can be a little stressful having to wait for that call sometimes.. in case you miss the call. The telephone calls made to our mobiles must be costly to the nhs. Surely if the patient has a condition that needs to be seen by a doctor, with prescribed medication or further tests we as patients should be able to make an appointment rather than wait for a telephone call first. When we have a valid reason for seeing a doctor it should be easier and less stressful to make an appointment rather than waiting for a telephone call beforehand.. A good practise otherwise.. |

I Have just moved to Burgess Hill and registered with this practice. From the time the Reception team have answered my first phone call, to the time I spoke with my newly assigned Doctor, I have been nothing short of totally impressed. Wait time was minimal, courtesy was top notch and the Doctor I dealt with was thorough, kind and full of compassion. Her knowledge of my unusual condition was astounding and the insight she had to my pain management was incredible. This is the first GP Practice I have been more than impressed with from the moment I walked in the door! I shan't be going anywhere else for as long as I can help it. If I could give them 10 stars I would! |
