I received a letter inviting me to have a flu jab. So when I collected my prescription I made an appointment at the pharmacy. On the day of my appointment I checked in at the doctors & yes it was busy, but then it was explained that I was having flu jab in the pharmacy. I was in & out in 10 minutes given a printed sheet & had a full e plantation from pharmacist. No problem whatsoever. Was a little confused why more people had not gone in the pharmacy.

I dont have a problem with the surgery, its the in-house Boots chemist. I have a regular monthly prescription for Thyroid problem. Once started you should not stop taking them. 2 weeks ago my regular prescription was delivered with a note saying only delivered half of medication and rest to follow. No problem I thought but a week later - nothing, so went in (queued behind 3 other complainers) and was told I would be getting them and they would phone me. Now another week on I have run out and still no tablets and no phone call. Telephoned chemist only to be told it was too late to get them and my next issue would be the next month. Woman was particularly rude and asked why I hadnt done something sooner. I had but it wasnt my problem it was hers, This isnt the first problem with this chemist and if there was another company (5 Boots in our town) I would go somewhere else. What do they do with the ones they dont give and do they get paid for medication they dont dispense. Its disgusting. Now I have no medication for 2 weeks and will have to suffer the consequences. If prescriptions are continuous, how can the biggest chemist in the country run out of medication and be so incompetent they fail to order the required amount. Where s the patient care |
