I have only been at this surgery for the last two years and I am very impressed with their service. Extremely friendly and very efficient and I cannot praise them enough. Thank you |

This surgery like many others, unfortunately, in this period of the NHS, is falling apart, becoming ruined by an intent to privatise, that does not serve patients. Surgeries give the impression that they serve themselves. Doctors do not seem to care, if they do they are far too overworked to get involved. This surgery gave me the run around to have a doctor or a practice manager call me. In the end they put me on hold for so long that I hung up. the staff serve as gatekeepers often not understanding situations but pandering to an 'it's more than my jobsworth' mentality. It has been impossible to have Orchard surgery do something so simple as to electronically send over a prescription to a chemist in another area because I had to move due to harassment where I previously lived in Dereham, that then led to an attempted suicide, what do you think has been on my mind? Certainly not registering at a doctors surgery. Weeks ago this surgery told me that all I had to do was ask a new surgery to call them and they would send over a prescription electronically. When push came to shove they did not do that. Something so simple became so absolutely impossible. I've run out of heart medication. the new surgery won't write a prescription until I see a doctor. I cannot get an appointment to see a doctor, for god knows how long. The new surgery suggests that I ask you Orchard, to electronically send over a prescription. A one time thing so I can get my needed medication that I have run out of. You orchard refuse to do that. I am so up in the air given everything else that has gone on that I now will not get medication. And... I simply do not care. who cares if I become more ill right? It should not be so difficult. What is wrong with doctors and their surgeries. Where has the hippocratic Oath gone of serving patients first and foremost? It's disappeared.taken over by that aforementioned jobsworth attitude that is killing the NHS. It seems to be all about what doctors wont do, as opposed to what they can and will do. If you get to even have a receptionist ask a doctor to call. What is wrong with this NHS we all rely on? It's supposed to be one NHS not thousands of small little ones dotter around the country. Something so simple. Made impossible. Helpful is not in Orchards vocabulary. So typical of the what the NHS had become. Would I recommend this surgery? Absolutely not. But they don't rely upon recommendations. they rely on being in a catchment are. |

I have the good fortune that this surgery had cared for my me and my family for the last 12 years and will continue to do so; the new triage service that has been introduced tops the bill. We as a family, have confidence in the professionalism of the staff at the surgery and so, from me, it's a big thank you. |
