Pinelodge Care Home

I was looking for a Care Home for my elderly mother,when I stumbled upon this site. My mother has many underlying health issues which I addressed to PineLodge Care Home. They reassured me that they had no cases of Covid-19 in their care home whilst I was delighted with this assurance ,I thought this sounded too good to be true . I made a couple of enquiries under the freedom of information Act and a very different picture was painted. I was informed in writing by the Authorities that Pinelodge care home actually had 24 Covid related deaths in 2020. I have reported this care home to the Care Quality Commission and have demanded a full investigation. My main concern is that they have been totally dishonest in the information to a potential customer. I was deeply saddened that there ulterior motive is just to accumulate a financial gain under any circumstances . At the time of my telephone calls I did ask the lady to confirm that they had no Covid cases within the Home to which she said absolutely none,we are in the minority as we have strict measures in place preventing anyone from contracting Covid. I am still looking for a care home for my mother ,anyone has any suggestions. I think honesty is the best policy ,you have to be able to trust the care home you are placing your loved ones.
