What do you have to do to get a timely appointment here! I don't visit the doctors often. I needed an appointment and was told it would be 5 weeks. I didn't realise that health problems need to be planned! I asked for an emergency appointment and was told that one wasn't available. It's ridiculous. What are these doctors doing!!! I've been a patient here for over 30 years and I'm now registering at a different surgery - who by the way saw me within 48hrs. Seriously Pilning Surgery, get your act together. |

I have visited the surgery twice in the last month which is not something I often do at all. I was experiencing headline on one side and was concerned. The doctor prescribed migraine and blood pressure meds and suggested it may be shingles and that a rash may appear on the left side of my face. The pharmacy phoned halfway the week to find out how I was getting on with the meds. Towards the end of my script I rang the surgery to find out whether I needed a new script or a review, as the doctor did not advise me. The receptionist suggested that I could call into the surgery to complete a form for a new script and I asked if I could order three months and she said no. I had been monitoring my blood pressure which seemed to be ok - so I didn't request further meds. In 3 Dec I visited the same GP as I had severe pain in the left side of my tummy area and the doctor examined me and asked me for a urine sample. The doctor advised I had a duplex kidney which I was not aware of and prescribed antibiotics. The doctor advised that there was blood in my urine and she would send to the lab and I should phone on Thursday for the results. I phoned today, only to be informed that the sample was rejected by the hospital as it was sent without a form and wasn't refrigerated. I am furious as still in pain. I am totally dissatisfied with this doctor's professionalism to me as a patient. I will be changing surgeries |

I'm not one to go see a doctor unless I really can't cope. Had a severe cough on and off for 8 months. In this time went to piling surgery 3 times. Never got seen by the doctor only seen by a nurse. Was given inhalers without being tested for asthma properly. On last visit seen the nurse again ( having requested on phone to see the doctor) on the Thursday and given antibiotics and another inhaler but by Friday night was rushed to hospital by paramedic. Paramedic was fuming that proper checks were not done. Will now being changing doctors. |
