I was in this hospital from Oct 15 to feb 16. Staff were rude and totally unprofessional. They kept increasing quetiapine which was making my psychosis worse. My family asked them to put me on different lower dose drug, I then seemed to improve. Doctor olufunke did not seem to care and just kept sending me home, even tho I knew I was an endanger to myself and others. I have vowed I will never go into this place again |

I live in Middlesbrough, my son is a patient in Pascal ward. I came all the way from North east to see my son and one of the staff informed me that l cannot see him due to covid19 protocol. He asked for my number so that they will call me back. They phone back and handed the phone to my son who confided that the staff were treating him inundigfied way like a criminal a person without rights because he is in their care. My son is very paranoid because every time they are talking amongst themselves they are talking in their native Nigerian language. He thinks they are talking about him. I requested to talk to the nurse in charge who displayed an l dont care attitude. All what l could gather from the conversation was that visits are permitted anywhere in the hospital except in this ward. Instead of explaining that my son is refusing a swab the nurse in charge wanted me to assume that. He put the phone down on me. He was so un professional. |
