My son Christopher is a patient on Pinewood Ward and has just been notified that he's to be released when he doesn't feel safe to do so. I left two letters at reception to the ward manager and the consultant and doubt very much if they have read them. He has no permanent address, apart from one room on a barge. We live in Suffolk and am finding the whole situation totally unsatisfactory. He's had no therapy, just medication and is being referred to the crisis team. Thank you so much for not a lot. My mum has just been discharged from this place after a 5 day stay, they say she is doing better and is now not suicidal as that is what she has told them despite my siblings telling them she will 100% do this again the doctors simply looked at them with no emotions while they cried and told them how wrong they were, im appalled by the mental health system which has left my family in pieces and with no real help and no where to turn. This is not what we would wish for you, or for your mother. In order to understand what has happened and see where we could improve this experience we hope that you could make contact with the Matron at Littlebrook Hospital or Pinewood Ward Manager, Megan Coomber, by calling 01322 622222. Please let them know you have been asked to call to follow up on a posting on the NHS website. Thanks again for making us aware of this matter. |
